Chlorum Solutions—a company specialized in the installation and operation of small-scale chlor-alkali plants—has launched the operation of its new plant in São Sebastião do Passé, Bahia. With a capacity of 20 tons per day, the unit follows the company’s business model, which operates plants for regional markets, adhering to ESG standards and reinforcing its global socio-environmental commitment.

Currently, process testing and activity alignment are underway. The expectation is that the São Sebastião do Passé factory will be operating at full capacity within the next 30 days.

According to Alfredo Kerzner, CEO of Chlorum Solutions, approximately R$ 90 million has been invested in the Bahian factory, which aims to further consolidate Chlorum Solutions’ position in the Northeast, where the company already has plants in Maranhão, Pernambuco, and Ceará. “We started the work at the São Sebastião do Passé plant following the best available socio-environmental standards, adhering to all of Chlorum’s ESG proposals,” comments the executive.

Kerzner explains that among the innovative differentials is the choice of equipment for this plant. “We are seeking the most innovative technology in terms of global chlor-alkali production.” He also highlights that the factory is operated by local workers, through both direct and indirect jobs, thereby contributing to the social development of São Sebastião do Passé.
