EDDYVILLE, IOWA — June 1, 2026: Chlorum Solutions USA LLC (“Chlorum Solutions USA”) today took ownership of the Eddyville chlor-alkali facility from Cargill, Incorporated, anchoring a dedicated, locally produced source of essential chemicals for manufacturers across the Midwest. The closing follows the definitive agreement announced in December 2025. The site produces sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid, and caustic soda for customers across the region. The Eddyville facility already serves multiple Cargill operations and regional manufacturers, making it an ideal strategic fit for Chlorum’s proximity-based production approach.

ECA employees have transitioned to Chlorum Solutions USA, preserving continuity for the customers they serve and maintaining the strong culture of safety established at the site. Chlorum and Cargill will continue as co-location partners at Cargill’s facility in Eddyville. Across the state of Iowa, Cargill employees 1800 people at 12 locations.

Eddyville is Chlorum’s first operating plant in the US and joins Chlorum’s $70 million Casa Grande, Arizona plant, currently under development, in the company’s network of small-scale, locally sited chlor-alkali facilities. Together, the two sites advance Chlorum’s strategy of producing essential chemicals close to the customers who use them.
