Chlorum Solutions | Rio Grande do Sul

The Rio Grande do Sul unit, Guaíba, was inaugurated in 2023 and is the first mini-plant operated by Chlorum.

Strategically located in a chemical product distribution area, with easy access to the capital and metropolitan region, it has a production capacity of 32 tons of Sodium Hypochlorite per day, equivalent to 4.3 tons of Chlorine per day, occupying an area of approximately 322m²

The model applied in this unit features a more automated, secure, and stable production system, allowing for capacity scaling according to customer needs. It can be installed near or even on-site at end-users facilities, eliminating the logistics of hazardous products.

In addition to highlighting our commitment to sustainability, the Rio Grande do Sul plant reinforces the vital role of chlorine-alkali mini-plants in the transition to a greener and more responsible economy.

Positive Impact

Environment and society                                                                                                       Due to its smaller scale, the unit operates efficiently, reducing the consumption of inputs and raw materials, and consequently, waste and effluent generation.

Direct supply                                                                                                                    Production of Hypochlorite and direct transfer of the finished product to the customer’s tanks.

Security                                                                                                                                           There is no compression, storage, or transportation of chlorine gas in the process. Additionally, the plant is equipped with security systems that comply with the most rigorous international standards.
